Here’s the official press release:

With just over a year under their belt, SwiftData Technology is making quite an impact by helping to reduce the workload of campus card, auxiliary services and IT departments. More than 25 campuses have benefited from SwiftData’s custom-tailored data integration and management services.

In 2015 SwiftData customized integrations for campuses across the country and automated millions of financial and data transactions through their innovative Pinwheel Data Management Engine, or DME, integration tool.

Pinwheel DME is standalone, vendor-neutral platform that removes the pains that come from internal departments integrating disconnected software systems like ERP, housing, badging, door access, campus card, scheduling and library systems.

The implementation of the Pinwheel DME platform at Ripon College in Ripon, WI provides a glimpse into some of SwiftData’s early success. As Amanda Przybyl, Director of Conference Services at Ripon shared, “We quickly realized that a new installation of separate campus card and access systems is not an easy task. But the team at SwiftData made the whole process smoother by giving us one point of contact to address and solve the inevitable integration headaches that pop up on new campus card implementations. We couldn’t have done it without them.”

Another Pinwheel DME early user, Virginia Union University, in Richmond, VA, realized a better ROI from the existing card systems. In this case Pinwheel DME worked to flawlessly automate the door access and meal plan systems. Outsourcing data integrations to the SwiftData team took workload off the IT staff and made the card systems more stable and reliable. “Whenever we have a support request their response time and support is outstanding,” said Robert Gray, Director of IT at Virginia Union University.

“Every campus needs more efficient and real-time data integration. Whether they develop the process in-house or use an outsourced product like our Pinwheel DME, today’s modern campus can’t rely on inefficient and inflexible file transfers and daily data dumps. I’m excited to see that this concept of efficiency through outsourced data management is catching on so quickly,” says Brian Adoff, SwiftData Co-Founder.

SwiftData is expecting to more than double their number of customers in 2016 and through multiple OEM partnerships have recently expanded their services into the healthcare, hospitality and enterprise verticals.
